Momentum Realty Acquires Jacksonville Beach-Based Yellowfin Realty

Momentum Realty, recognized as one of Northeast Florida's fastest-growing independent real estate brokerages, announced on January 10, 2024, that it is acquiring Jacksonville Beach-based Yellowfin Realty.

Momentum, which was founded in January 2020 with 4 agents, will now have a total of 170 agent partners.

Yellowfin’s owner, Luke Morris, said he is excited to partner with Momentum, noting “it’s a fast-growing and well-respected name in the real estate industry, and our agents and I see this as an opportunity to gain access to exclusive training, support, and technology that will help us grow our businesses.”

“What really sold me on Momentum was attending its 2024 business planning clinic in December,” Morris added. “Momentum offered the type of training and value that I hadn’t experienced at other brokerages I’d affiliated with, even larger, big box brokerages. Not only was Momentum’s instruction very high-level, with valuable take-aways, but those other brokerages were charging for their training, while Momentum’s was free."

Morris, who has been a top producer for more than a decade in Northeast Florida, looks forward to growing his business through exceptional service to his customers at all price points.

Brittany Brooks, Momentum's broker/owner, said she is pleased to welcome Luke and the Yellowfin agents to the Momentum tribe.

“Our culture is all about productivity and partnership, and Yellowfin Realty is a well-respected brand in our market. We are excited about the future of this partnership." Momentum Realty, which has been recognized as a Bold City Best Real Estate Brokerage in Northeast Florida, and the #1 Fastest Growing Brokerage Office by Volume, was a virtually-based company during the Covid pandemic.

In 2023, Momentum took on a physical presence, launching a brokerage office in Mandarin for the use of its agents. With the acquisition of Yellowfin, Momentum will be adding a second physical office location in Jacksonville Beach.

"This additional physical office location is a huge added value to our agents,” Brooks said.

“Since we are a low fee platform with high compensation and support, offices weren't in our early game plan because of their high overhead cost; we didn’t want to have to charge our agents more fees. But after a few years in business, we believe we have cracked the code on how to include physical office locations while remaining 100% commission based.”

“Over the past 6 months, our agents have been requesting additional office locations, and we are pleased to have promptly met their needs,” Brooks pointed out.

“In fact, in 2024 we look forward to acquiring more brokerages and opening offices in St. Augustine, along with the Northside and Westside of Jacksonville, to further deepen our roots within our community and provide more value to our agent partners and their customers."

Momentum’s average producing agent earns more than $105,000 in gross commission income, which is more than double that of competitors. “That is a testament to the incredible productivity of our agents, and to our desire for growth and an environment that cultivates it,” Brooks said.
