  • working as a 911 dispatcher, schedule was awful, toxic environment, had to quit the job

  • inspired by another agent and joined a boutique style team in St. Augustine from the start on a team for two years, great leads, made money and got experience in an amazing market, but I got to a point where I was just waiting by the phone or not, there was never a foundational thing to say no, go earn the business, it doesn't just come to you.

Video Notes:

- I want to continuously grow and not be stagnant on the team. I was not challenged.

- on the team for two years - pros were that I got so much experience through online leads, meeting people all the time, thrown into the lions den, doing the reps really helped as a foundational base.

- I have not looked back ONCE since going on my own, it was the best decision I ever made

- My life changed, everything changed, when I became a solo agent, I'm happier, I feel lighter, I can create my own schedule. Such a positive thing. It's not easy, but I have no regrets, it's been the most challenging and amazing thing for my personal development and growth.

- The hardest part was thinking about doing it. If you even think about going on your own, you know you can do it. Just push yourself to do it and believe in yourself.

- No more wasting time or money.

- How have lifestyle and finances changed? I am definitely on the track for millionaire and the tribe I'm around I love it so much, I'm constantly being challenged, I'm around people who have like minded ideas. I never knew what running a business like a business was. But all the tools I've got from you guys has been amazing. We wrote our goals, business plan, tracking our commissions and where they're coming from. What worked, what didn't work. I have never done that before. Every day is a learning curve.

- Our goal is to double this year. Super excited about what's to come.

- What were your lead generation levers when you went solo? We didn't have money, we just bought a house, what am I doing leaving a team? I did invest in Zillow for the first 6 months, and I invested outside of the area I wanted to.

- Zillow to me is just a limited belief that I cannot do it myself. I called agents to ask for open houses. I did open houses. I did door knocking. Now we have the markets, food trucks, holiday parties, and service to our community of where we actually are. I'm just super excited. Mindset is foundational. Proximity is power. And when I think about Momentum, it's life changing, the constant growth, and getting uncomfortable to grow and learn. It's just I love it. I can eat, sleep and breathe Momentum.

- It's about branding yourself, not branding someone else.
