What makes Momentum different?

We’re often asked what makes Momentum different from other brokerages, including those also offering 100% commission. The answer is commitment to our partner agents’ growth, whether through optional partnering programs to enhance business opportunities, or high-level training and education to expand their business. Since Momentum’s growth is tied to that of our agents, we are invested in their success, and seek to enhance it through programs like these:

Free Training & Resources

Momentum agents receive training on, and access to, the models and systems of the proven, top-producing Brooks Group, which produced $36M+ during year 3 of working with a big-box brokerage. These resources include listing and expired/FSBO presentations, buyer consultations, and scripts, all of which are available in a user-friendly format and can be edited to fit each agent’s own business model. All training sessions are recorded so that Momentum agents (exclusively) can watch the recordings multiple times, and at their convenience. Although one benefit of partnering with Momentum is that our agents typically earn 50-75% more than at a traditional brokerage, many have told us that it is Momentum’s free training and resources that convinced them to join.

Free Business Planning Sessions

During onboarding, each agent will have a 20-minute business planning session with Momentum leadership to review their past practices and to plan for the future. This review is a real eye-opener for agents who have not yet examined the specifics of their business, and it typically offers clarity and direction. Our agents are also welcome to seek additional guidance through work-week business conversations with Momentum's leadership. We love sharing what we have learned.  

Free Weekly Brokerage Huddles

Momentum’s leadership conducts a weekly virtual group meeting with our agents for high-level conversations on market statistics, best practices for success in real estate, and more. All agents are strongly encouraged to participate; the huddles are a great opportunity to bounce questions and new ideas. The huddles are recorded so that our agents (exclusively) can watch multiple times, and at their convenience. These meetings provide a mid-week boost to our agents and their performance.

Free Accountability Program

Momentum knows that while some agents have no interest in accountability programs, others find it very valuable. In fact, many agents pay thousands of dollars a month to obtain trained, professional advice and accountability. At Momentum, such guidance is free and between our top agents.

Free Access to Marketing Director

Momentum is partnering with the marketing director who oversaw marketing for the highly successful Brooks Group. To facilitate an easy, seamless transition to Momentum, he is available to help our new agents with marketing materials, logos, websites, social media, and best practices. He can also help create a timeline and game plan for making the transition. Just ask him, and he will be happy to assist.

Free Brokerage Transition Advice 

Momentum offers free advice to new agents on how to fairly and respectfully transition from their prior brokerage, including transferring active listings and securing commissions. To date, all agents who have joined Momentum have received their outstanding commission checks from their prior brokerage.

Optional Cultural Ambassador Program

Agents who love personal development, have a track record of investing in people, and want to give back to their local agent community, are offered an additional income opportunity by serving as a Momentum Cultural Ambassador. Cultural Ambassadors share our mission, vision, values, and beliefs, and have conversations with other agents who they think may be a good cultural fit with Momentum. They also serve as Mentors under Momentum’s Mentorship Program.

Optional Mentorship Program

Momentum has a generable eligibility requirement that, subject to our discretion, our agents must be experienced, and have served 10+ families within the prior twelve-month period. But we have interviewed some impressive, inexperienced agents who share the Momentum mindset, and exhibit great potential to become top agents in the future. Since we hate to discourage eager and talented budding entrepreneurs, we have established a Mentorship Program in conjunction with our Cultural Ambassadors. Under this program, each of our Cultural Ambassadors will have the option of mentoring up to three new agents at a time, with the goal of training and supporting them so that they meet our “10+ families served” requirement within the following 12 months. Each potential mentee will be interviewed by both a Cultural Ambassador and Momentum leadership before being invited to join Momentum provisionally, under the advisement of their assigned Cultural Ambassador. There are limited slots available, and not all applicants will be accepted.

Admitted mentees will have access to all Momentum training materials. They will work under and with their assigned Cultural Ambassador to establish accountability requirements, expectations on communication and attendance, and commission splits with their Cultural Ambassador Mentor. At the end of the one-year mentoring program, their assigned Cultural Ambassador and Momentum leadership will determine whether to offer the agent mentee the opportunity for full association with Momentum.

Optional Elevate Leads Program

Momentum understands that the growth of an agent's business highly correlates to how much that agent invests in their acquisition of new clients. And, for many agents that includes investing in online lead generation as a short-term or partial long-term strategy. The cost of buying online leads through Zillow and Realtor.com has recently plummeted, and the minimum length of contracts for buying those leads is now monthly. So, we created the Elevate Lead Generation Program to allow agents to buy online leads with the financial support, training, and economies of scale through aggregate buying with Momentum. Since initiation of this program just a few weeks ago (April 2020), Elevate agents have purchased as much as $50,000/month of online leads, and are benefitting from economies of scale in the form of discounts, bonus ad spends, and seller ad boosting. This program started as a temporary one specifically responding to the uncertainties of the health crisis, but is now being explored as an expanded, longer term program developed as a group effort between Momentum's leadership and its agents to create win-win opportunities.

Optional Focus Touch Program

Momentum knows that, while purchased leads can build growth, that growth is sustained through a high-level database touch program to generate reviews and referrals from existing customers. Since Momentum's leadership has a track record of great success with these activities, we created the Focus Touch Program, available on a subscription basis with monthly or annual payment. By allowing Momentum’s leadership to provide a comprehensive touch program our agents have more time to focus on growing new business.   

Social Events

Momentum's leadership is committed to creating a culture of adventure, fun, and growth. That's why we regularly get together as a brokerage - typically monthly - to enjoy a group social event to build camaraderie and give our agents the chance to try new activities such as ax throwing and paint balling. We encourage our agents to live “big lives” that include growing genuine personal and professional relationships and taking advantage of opportunities for adventure.
