How it works

What the agreement covers

  • 35% of the gross commission on a covered transaction, paid broker to broker.
  • A 24-month referral period per referral, and non-circumvention.
  • Return referrals: business you send into a Momentum service area carries the same 35% fee, split 30% to your brokerage and 5% retained by Momentum.
  • Momentum has already signed it — your brokerage returns a countersigned copy. You receive the PDF with your approval email.
  • Approval is not a promise of referral volume: nothing in the agreement obligates Momentum to send any minimum number of referrals.

Questions agents ask

What is the referral fee?

35% of the gross commission earned on any transaction covered by the agreement, paid broker to broker.

Do I have to be licensed in Florida?

No. Agents in any state can apply. Momentum's own brokerage operations are in Florida and Georgia, and referrals go out to partners wherever a client is heading — which is usually somewhere else.

Do I have to leave my brokerage?

No. The program is for licensed agents at other brokerages. Your brokerage countersigns the master referral agreement and is paid through it.

What does it cost to apply?

Nothing. There is no fee to apply and no fee to stay in the network.

Which markets can I cover?

Any market you actively serve. The application asks for the city, county and state you work and where you are strongest, and referrals are matched to that.

How long does review take?

Every application is read by a person rather than scored automatically, so it is not instant. You are emailed the decision at the address you apply with.

What happens after I am approved?

Your broker completes and signs the Receiving Broker block of the master referral agreement and you sign the Receiving Agent acknowledgment. Referrals can only begin once that signed agreement is on file.
