Listing description
About this home
Some houses give you rooms. This one gives you places to be. Places for Saturday football that somehow turns into dinner.
For Friendsgiving around a table that actually fits everyone. For drinks on the porch, something good on the grill and one more round around the firepit. Welcome to 891 Paoli Avenue, a home with the space to spread out, the character you want from Intown Atlanta and an undeniable knack for bringing people together.
Step inside and the details immediately start doing their thing: beautiful hardwood floors, substantial crown molding, coffered ceilings and custom built-ins that make the main living spaces feel anything but cookie-cutter. The fireside family room flows into a dining space ready for the holidays, while the kitchen brings quartz countertops, stainless appliances, abundant cabinetry and one of our favorite spots in the house, a sun-filled breakfast nook wrapped in windows overlooking the backyard. Upstairs, the primary suite offers plenty of room to retreat, complete with its own private covered balcony, while two additional bedrooms share the level and give you flexibility for guests, an office or everyday life.
Then keep going, because the fourth bedroom is anything but ordinary. Tucked away on the top floor with vaulted wood ceilings, skylights and its own half bath, it's currently having a little fun as a game room, but this is true flex space at its best. Bedroom, media lounge, creative studio, work-from-home headquarters or a hideaway for guests?
Your house, your rules. And then there's the backyard. A covered porch leads down to a covered outdoor kitchen and bar with dedicated grilling space and a built-in ice bucket, then out to a paver patio, firepit and a perfectly sized fenced lawn with enough room for kids, dogs, cornhole or a game of catch without giving up every Saturday to yardwork.
Multiple porches and balconies create even more places to step outside, while a two-car drive-under garage and plenty of storage round out a house that gives you the breathing room of a move-up home without giving up the Intown lifestyle that brought you here in the first place. And for all the space you get, you're still firmly connected to Intown living. Paoli is tucked into a hidden residential pocket just minutes from East Atlanta Village, with easy access to I-20 and a quick connection to Downtown Decatur and Atlanta's eastside.
It feels removed when you're home, without actually being far from where you want to go. More room to live, plenty of places to gather and a house ready for whatever comes next. SPECIAL FINANCING OPPORTUNITIES!
Qualified buyers may be eligible for up to $11,500 in combined lender-funded closing cost credits through Highland Mortgage's Neighborhood Advantage program and additional lender incentives. Seller is also open to offering a temporary interest rate buydown to help ease initial monthly mortgage payments. Ask your agent for details!

Atlanta City Council advances resolution for 22-mile Beltline rail roadmap
A resolution from Council Member Kelsea Bond asks the mayor, MARTA and Beltline leaders to build an implementation and funding roadmap for a $3.5 billion, 22-mile light rail loop. A full Council vote was scheduled for Sept. 21, with a proposed Jan. 26, 2027 deadline for the roadmap. Public comment on the Beltline transit plan closes Nov. 3, 2026.
Why it matters: If funded, Beltline rail could improve transit access to intown neighborhoods and job centers, though no construction start or first segment has been set. The site is about 3 miles northwest of East.
Chamblee City Center nears groundbreaking with 340 apartments and 29,000 sq ft of retail
Greystar and Vantage Realty Partners plan a 340-unit multifamily project with about 29,000 square feet of retail and nearly 3 acres of open space on a 7.2-acre site near Chamblee City Hall and the Chamblee MARTA station. Financial closing is expected in mid to late October 2026 with groundbreaking soon after, and the commercial portion targets fall 2027 delivery. The plan includes a 673-space garage and a 1.5-acre central lawn.
Why it matters: The project would add rental housing, restaurants and shops within walking distance of Chamblee MARTA rail, improving transit-linked retail access and housing supply in the area. The project is about 11 miles north of East, elsewhere in DeKalb County.
The Dunwoody Planning Commission voted unanimously on Aug. 11 to recommend rezoning the 3.42-acre LifeSouth Blood Bank site from Office-Industrial to Perimeter Center (PC-3) for 33 three-bedroom rear-load townhomes. Estimated prices are about $500,000 for the 1,500 square foot plan and $650,000 for the 2,100 square foot plan. The same meeting advanced a 24-home subdivision on Roberts Drive and approved a 10,000 square foot indoor pickleball facility at the Marcus Jewish Community Center.
Why it matters: If approved, the project would add owner-occupied for-sale units to the Perimeter Center employment area, adding to nearby housing inventory within a short commute of offices and the MARTA station. The project is about 13 miles north of East, elsewhere in DeKalb County.

Frequently asked questions
How big is 891 Paoli Avenue and when was it built?
Per the listing record, 891 Paoli Avenue was built in 2003 and has 3,042 sq ft of living area, 4 bedrooms and 3.0 bathrooms. Living area and lot size come from the MLS record and should be verified against the county property appraiser.
What community is 891 Paoli Avenue in?
891 Paoli Avenue is in East Atlanta in Atlanta, DeKalb County. The comparable-sales section on this page shows recent closed sales nearby from the same MLS data.
Does 891 Paoli Avenue have an HOA?
The listing reports no HOA. Confirm with the county record that no deed restrictions or mandatory association apply to the parcel.
How are property taxes on 891 Paoli Avenue estimated?
The estimate on this page (about $7,349 per year) assumes the county reassesses at the list price. Georgia counties reassess after a sale and exemptions such as homestead must be applied for by the new owner, so the seller's current bill is not a guide. Confirm with the county tax assessor.
