Community Details at a Glance
The Seville Historic District is downtown Pensacola's oldest and most preserved neighborhood, roughly 108 acres bounded by Bayfront Parkway, Tarragona, Romana, and Cevallos Streets around Seville Square, following the original 1760s British city plan adapted by Spanish authorities in the 1780s. It features primarily 19th-century residences and structures, over 500 contributing buildings in styles from Queen Anne to Mediterranean Revival, on oak-shaded streets, much of it original or restored. As a protected district, exterior changes and new construction are subject to the city's Architectural Review Board. There is no golf or country-club membership; the value story is the specific home, its restoration level, the historic-district rules, and the prime, walkable downtown character.
