Palm Beach County commissioners voted 6-1 to approve a $26 million deal with Related Ross for a 400-room hotel on land adjacent to the county convention center in downtown West Palm Beach. The county would buy the property and lease it back to the developer, and officials estimate about 650 permanent jobs, including roughly 255 hotel jobs. Construction could finish within three years.
