The Homes
Bermuda Court is an enclave of 65 detached single-story patio homes built between 1979 and 1984, set on a peninsula surrounded by man-made lagoons inside the gates of Sawgrass Players Club. Homes range from approximately 1,067 to 1,898 square feet across two- and three-bedroom layouts, and you own the house and its small lot fee-simple, which distinguishes Bermuda Court from the condo product also available inside the Players Club gates. There are no garages, a defining trade-off that puts Bermuda Court at a price discount relative to Turtleback Crossing, the 91-townhome community with garages in the same gate.
Prices reflect the renovation depth and the exposure. A fully renovated 1,315-square-foot three-bedroom sold for $542,000 in February 2026, roughly $412 per square foot, while recent asking prices have run from approximately $415,000 to $520,000 depending on condition and whether the home backs to a lagoon or an interior position. The lagoon-facing homes command a premium; so do the homes with any golf course exposure toward The Yards. Price any specific home against its true comparables by plan and condition, not the community average.
At 40 to 45 years old, these homes are on their second or third cycle of major systems. Roofs, windows, plumbing, electrical panels, and HVAC have all turned over at least once for well-maintained homes and may not have for others. Renovation depth varies enormously unit to unit: some have been fully updated, others are nearly original. The gap between an original-finish home and a fully renovated one here can be $100,000 or more at the same square footage. Inspect hard and price the gap honestly.
Living Here
The defining experience at Bermuda Court is the water. The enclave is a peninsula surrounded by lagoons, so most homes have a water view and the daily rhythm includes wading birds, the ambient sound of water, and, this being Florida, the occasional alligator on the bank. Keep distance from the water's edge, never feed wildlife, and factor the water into your thinking on small pets and grandchildren playing near the property line.
THE PLAYERS Championship each March is the community's defining week of the year: world-class golf inside your own gates, with TPC Sawgrass's Stadium Course running directly through the surrounding community. Residents who embrace it call it the best week of the year; those who prefer quiet typically plan a trip. Either way, it is a unique feature of life inside the Sawgrass Players Club gates that has no equivalent in Northeast Florida real estate.
The Players Club master association provides the gates, a community pool, playground, ballfield, and sidewalks. Golf at TPC Sawgrass and tennis at The Yards (the former Oak Bridge club) are optional separate memberships and are not included in homeownership. Sawgrass Village is a few minutes north on A1A for groceries and dining. The beach accesses are a short drive east, Mayo Clinic is about 15 minutes away, and Southside Jacksonville job centers are roughly 20 minutes via JTB.
Before You Offer
The two-layer HOA is the financial structure to understand before you offer. The Sawgrass Players Club master association and the Bermuda Court sub-association run separately, with separate fees and separate governing documents. A February 2026 MLS listing reflected two semi-annual fees of $253 and $978. Confirm the current amounts, what each covers, and whether any pending increases or special assessments are in the pipeline before you write a contract. Both sets of documents should be reviewed in the diligence period.
The enclave is a peninsula surrounded by lagoons, so flood exposure is real and varies by lot. Pull the FEMA flood designation for the exact street address, not a community-level assumption, ask about claims history on the specific property, and get a bindable flood and wind insurance quote inside your inspection period. Four-point inspections are standard for 1979 to 1984 construction and will be required by most insurers and lenders.
Rental rules in the Players Club are not designed for short-term or vacation-rental income. The community is heavily owner-occupied and primary-or-seasonal. Confirm the current minimum rental period, approval process, and any caps in both association documents before underwriting any income plan.
Comparisons
Bermuda Court's closest comparisons inside the same Sawgrass Players Club gates are Players Club Villas (a 101-unit condo community) and Turtleback Crossing (91 townhomes with garages). All three are attainable entries to the Sawgrass Players Club address, but they are fundamentally different products. Bermuda Court is the only detached fee-simple option among them, and the water-wrapped peninsula setting is unique to this enclave. The trade is the lack of garages and the 1979 to 1984 vintage, which requires more intensive diligence than a newer build. Against the broader 32082 market, where the median sale price runs above $895K, Bermuda Court offers detached ownership inside one of the most recognized gated addresses in Northeast Florida at a meaningful discount to the surrounding Players Club detached market.
Who It Fits
Bermuda Court is the right call for buyers who specifically want detached, fee-simple ownership inside the Sawgrass Players Club gates at a price below the broader Players Club detached market, and who value water views, low density, and an owner-occupied enclave over garage storage. The lagoon-surrounded peninsula setting, the Ponte Vedra school zone, no CDD, and THE PLAYERS Championship as a backyard event are a combination that does not exist anywhere else in Northeast Florida real estate.
It is the wrong call for buyers who need a garage, who are planning short-term rental income in a community oriented firmly toward owner-occupancy, or who will not complete full four-point inspection, flood designation review, and both sets of HOA documents before closing on a home built between 1979 and 1984 on a water-surrounded peninsula. The vintage is serious, the flood exposure is real, and the diligence required is proportionally heavier than a newer community. Buyers who do it right own something genuinely rare; buyers who skip it face the full consequences of a 40-plus-year-old home in a coastal flood-adjacent location.
Fits
- Buyers who want detached fee-simple ownership inside the Players Club gates below the broader detached market price
- Buyers who value water views, low density, and an owner-occupied enclave over a garage
- Downsizers or second-home buyers who want a Ponte Vedra Beach address at a contained price
- Buyers who embrace THE PLAYERS Championship as a lifestyle feature and will do full vintage diligence
Not a fit
- Buyers who need a garage; there are none in Bermuda Court
- Investors underwriting short-term rental income in a heavily owner-occupied community
- Buyers who will not complete four-point inspection, flood review, and both HOA document sets before closing
- Buyers who want a newer home with lower system replacement risk than a 1979 to 1984 vintage build
